Prime Minister's Questions

Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) is a weekly parliamentary tradition held every Wednesday at noon, where Members of Parliament directly question the UK Prime Minister about government policy, decisions, and current affairs. This is one of the most high-profile moments in the parliamentary calendar.

• The Prime Minister faces questions from MPs across all parties for 30 minutes
• The Leader of the Opposition asks up to six questions in a rapid-fire exchange
• Backbench MPs ask single questions on issues affecting their constituents
• The atmosphere is adversarial and fast-paced, testing the PM's command of policy
