What steps her Department is taking to ensure people with multiple and complex needs can access universal credit? I thank the Minister for his previous answer and congratulate him on the success of registering new claimants. As he knows, there was an original idea for a universal support system alongside UC to help those with complex needs. Will he consider reviving this idea to assist the most vulnerable and improve the UC system?
I thank my hon. Friend for his question. I know he shares my passion for supporting the most vulnerable in society, which is why we introduced Help to Claim to support people who need assistance accessing the welfare system. This service has been a huge success over the past year, helping more than 250,000 people. We have commissioned it for a second year.
