I thank my hon. Friend for all her campaigning on this and other online safety-related issues; we have had a number of engagements. The Government said very clearly that we would explore the issue of data access for researchers into online safety during the passage of the Online Safety Act 2023. We are aware of the amendments tabled to the DPDI Bill, and I encourage my hon. Friend to watch this space, as we will be reporting in due course.

My hon. Friend is correct in her analysis. We are focused on ensuring that our assets in the region contribute to the release of hostages.

There is misinformation about the interpretation of the Equality Act. Sports bodies need to tackle this area more strongly.

My hon. Friend makes an important point. I spoke with the Chancellor of the Exchequer and recognise GDP per capita as an important metric. We invest in a British workforce through apprenticeships and lifelong learning, aiming for a high-skilled, high-income economy rather than relying on mass migration.

The Government have implemented a number of measures including restricting overseas students from bringing family dependants, stopping overseas care workers from bringing family dependants, increasing the salary threshold for skilled worker visas to £38,700 and increasing the minimum income requirements for family visas. We recognise that levels of migration have been too high and I immediately took action to bring those figures down.

My hon. Friend makes a good point. I am aware of those reports. The fact remains that the appalling events of 7 October were, as I have said in the House before, the worst atrocity and the worst killing of Jewish people since the holocaust and the second world war.

It sounds as though the church is eligible, but I am happy to meet my hon. Friend to discuss eligibility further. Applicants can bid for up to £2 million in capital funding from the community ownership fund, with additional revenue funding available, but in the first instance I would recommend that interested applicants read the prospectus on gov.uk, as this will cover all they need to know regarding eligibility requirements, funding available and the application process.

I would be delighted to meet my hon. Friend's constituent, as what he does is important for staff retention and recruitment in adult social care.

The excellent working relationship with Rwanda will give us a treaty that addresses issues in the Supreme Court judgment. The legislation accompanying the treaty must make it clear that illegal immigrants will be sent back, and we are committed to making this happen.

We are already doing a lot, because we are introducing institutes of technology, which are collaborations between higher education and further education that provide flagship skills and teach higher technical qualifications, with 21 across the country.

We are producing guidance which will consider pieces of work such as Dr Hilary Cass's independent review to provide the clearest possible advice.

Fibre in the water has been a fantastic and innovative project. We expect to complete the research in May, and I hope to be able to update my hon. Friend, who has been doing fantastic work on this.

We are working to ensure that the guidance is correct and represents all views. We must protect victims of bullying, including those with special educational needs, who may face increased amounts of bullying.

Sentencing is a matter for independent judiciary, Ministry of Justice and Sentencing Council. The Government desires to do all they can to make sure victims get justice.

The guidance on political impartiality makes it very clear that when teaching about sensitive political issues relating to discrimination, teachers should be mindful of avoiding the promotion of partisan views or presenting contested theories as fact. Schools need to ensure that any resources used in the classroom are age-appropriate, suitable and politically impartial, and they should consult parents and share lesson materials when requested.

The law is clear that schools must prohibit the promotion of partisan political views and take steps to ensure the balanced presentation of opposing views on political issues when they are taught. Guidance to schools on political impartiality was published in February 2022, summarising the legal position and stating that clear and proportionate steps should be taken to ensure those legal duties are met.

My hon. Friend is a fantastic champion for Stocksbridge, securing £24.1 million to respond directly to the needs of the town. The town deal model is indeed strong and will continue to respond to local communities and stakeholders.

The Government are committed to seeing more empowered and accountable local leadership through devolution. Deals with six new areas announced last year will provide over £4 billion to drive growth and innovation, responding to challenges and needs.

My hon. Friend raises an extremely important point, and I agree with her. Protecting women and girls and preventing children from accessing harmful content, such as online pornography, is a priority for the Government. The Online Safety Bill will introduce new protections for women and girls online. Under the Bill, all services will need to proactively remove and prevent users from being exposed to priority illegal content. That includes the appalling illegal content that affects women and girls, such as revenge and extreme pornography.

I am aware of the company in my hon. Friend's constituency. We took an unusual decision to acquire Sheffield Forgemasters to secure its unique capability. Ultimately, it is for companies to manage commercial decisions for their future.

Recent estimates show MOD investment supporting over 200,000 jobs across the UK. Continued investment in defence and changes as part of the defence and security industrial strategy will contribute to further economic growth and prosperity, including jobs, across the Union.

We accepted JCVI advice that a single dose of vaccine offers greater health benefits than potential risks. This is a non-urgent offer, and priority remains vaccinating the most vulnerable.

Vaccines remain our best line of defence. The offer of first, second, and booster doses is always open. Oral antivirals have been rolled out in the community as part of a range of NHS treatment options to provide another line of defence.

I thank my hon. Friend for that really important question. I have to say that I have been shocked by the really disgusting remarks that have been levelled at the chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in particular. It is a disgrace that people are attacking the body that is supposed to be furthering equality in this country. No good can come of that.

The most important thing is that we prioritise face-to-face education. Keeping children in school is my absolute priority, and I will do everything in my power to maintain that situation. Of course, directors of public health can advise temporary additional measures, but they should always be proportionate.

I agree with my hon. Friend that we must improve connectivity to all our communities in the north—especially Chorley—and I welcome her commitment to improving services on the Penistone line. Bids to the £4.8 billion levelling-up fund are being assessed, and we expect to announce the outcome of that competition in the autumn.

I thank my hon. Friend for raising this important issue. I will absolutely share her concerns on the specific college to which she refers, Northern College. The Government are committed to helping ex-offenders re-establish themselves back into the community and into work.

We are committed to cross-Government working to help prison leavers into work and reduce reoffending. We are funding an additional 30 prison work coaches, bringing the total up to 200, to go into prisons after covid restrictions are lifted with a focus on gaining employment and accessing benefits promptly.

The Church has provided online resources through 'Faith at Home' for home-schooled children, and parishes are reopening early years and children's programmes. The Church aims to provide more children's and youth work in the future.

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have launched a families and households commission, chaired by Professor Janet Walker and Bishop of Durham. This initiative aims to address family policy issues.

Bidding is open for the levelling-up fund worth £4.8 billion, designed to deliver genuine local priorities with local support, including that of an MP, at its heart. The Secretary highlights plans in Stocksbridge and expresses hope for future success.

Over the last three years, we have provided around £75 million to farmers to help them purchase new and innovative technology. The new farming investment fund will offer grants from autumn this year to support further technological adoption in agriculture. We are also launching research and development syndicates for individual farm businesses.

Since 2018, we have been working with over 3,000 farmers to build up ideas and gain their insights through 72 tests and trials. We are using a co-design approach that includes the sustainable farming incentive pilot, which will open for expressions of interest shortly.

The Government have a range of schemes, including establishing a £250 million clean steel fund and providing £66 million through the industrial strategy challenge fund to help steel manufacturers develop technologies and establish innovation centres of excellence.

Driving access for UK exporters to high growth markets worldwide, securing new free trade agreements, removing trade barriers, and supporting exports. The Department recently applied to join the CPTPP.

Absolutely. I know that my hon. Friend, as someone who has run a business herself, understands the bureaucratic frustrations that too many of her constituency businesses come up against. We want public buyers to divide contracts into more accessible lots and allow them to reserve contracts under a certain threshold for small, innovative firms. We are also pushing ambitious targets on prompt payment, and we aim to simplify the bidding process so that it does not favour big firms, which inevitably have greater resources to devote to form-filling and box-ticking.

Digital skills are vital in the modern economy. We know that take-up is particularly low among girls in areas such as computing, and that is why the digital skills boot camps are vital. They are being rolled out across the country in spring 2021.

Our new JETS scheme has started rolling out across the country and blasted off in my hon. Friend's constituency on 5 October. The scheme has £238 million of funding that is dedicated to helping people who have been out of work for three or more months and may be at risk of long-term unemployment. JETS will see a variety of providers work at our local jobcentre networks to offer a range of bespoke services, including important advice on how people can move into new, growing sectors, as well as help with CV building and interview coaching. My hon. Friend is right to suggest that tackling the impacts of covid will require a national effort, and the DWP stands ready to deliver this with our network of local jobcentres, which we will be expanding. The JETS scheme started two weeks ago and is now live right across England and Wales, and we are contracting anew in Scotland. We anticipate that as JETS continues to roll out across Great Britain, it will help 280,000 of our claimants to find work and build the skills to pivot into new sectors if required.

My hon. Friend is right; it is incumbent on the Government, in all Departments, to look at how we can refine the way we operate, to be more effective. That is why in July my right hon. Friend the Chancellor published a 10-year tax administration strategy, setting out our vision for a modern system, which will involve extending making tax digital to more taxpayers.
