Residents across the eastern villages of Woking, in Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford, have seen a large number of proposed developments in recent years. Of particular concern is an area of beautiful fields near West Hall, where more than 1,000 constituents have written back to me in recent weeks, expressing their deep concerns about the lack of provision of local infrastructure and the potential effects on the local environment.

My hon. Friend is absolutely right. Unlike both the Liberal Democrats and Labour, who believe in top-down targets that would decimate the green belt, we believe in local people having a say over their local communities. That is why we are ensuring that we make best use of brownfield land and that we conserve and enhance our precious countryside for generations to come.

My constituent Seema Misra is here today. She has an outstanding record of service but was wrongly convicted in 2010 for stealing £75,000. Does the PM agree with me that she needs a full apology from the Post Office and proper compensation?

As my right hon. Friend knows, I have been liaising closely with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and with the Treasury regarding Woking Council's recent section 114 notice. Does he agree that, in this scenario, the vulnerable must be protected and local councillors of all parties must work together to try to put the council's finances back on the right track?

I know my hon. Friend is a great champion for his Woking residents. As he knows, the Secretary of State for Levelling Up has intervened in that authority and appointed commissioners to ensure that decisions are taken that provide the best outcomes for residents, including the most vulnerable, and for the public purse. I agree with him that local councillors should be working together with the commissioners to put the council's finances in order.

Does the Prime Minister agree that we should protect student choice, and keep BTECs as an option for students?
Context
Woking College has received Government investment in a new teaching block. Many colleges find BTECs valuable, enabling student progression to higher education and skilled employment.

On behalf of my constituent Seema Misra and other wrongly convicted sub-postmasters, I am grateful for the enhanced investigation into this scandal. However, there is concern that the compensation received by civil litigant sub-postmasters was not fair. I urge the Prime Minister to ensure these individuals will be included in any Government compensation scheme.
Context
Sub-postmasters who were wrongly convicted have received compensation that is considered insufficient, raising concerns about fairness. The inquiry led by Sir Wyn Williams now has more authority to address these issues.

The Government respects postmasters and sub-postmasters who have been affected by this miscarriage of justice. We were not party to the initial litigation or settlement, but we are determined to ensure fair compensation.

["The surface of the motorway between junctions 10 and 11 on the M25 consists of concrete blocks that cause significant noise pollution, affecting thousands of residents in Byfleet, West Byfleet, Pyrford, and up to 4 km away. The repetitive buffeting as tyres pass over expansion joints adds substantially to noise levels. Since 20 years ago when Labour promised to replace or overlay all concrete main roads by March 2011, no plans exist for resurfacing the M25 section in question despite Highways England repairing failed joints and acknowledging residents' concerns."]
