Emma Lewell highlighted the issue of childhood cancer, particularly focusing on the case of Ethan Adams from South Shields. She detailed how Ethan was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma after experiencing dental issues and subsequently underwent aggressive treatment but eventually succumbed to the disease. Emma acknowledged the work of charities like Alice’s Arc in raising awareness and funding research, but argued that the state should be primarily responsible for addressing these issues.
