What steps he is taking to ensure that improvement work on district hospitals is taken forward under the health infrastructure plan. The MP notes the importance of local health services and asks how existing district hospitals will continue to receive investment they need.
Our health infrastructure plan will deliver a long-term rolling programme of investment in health infrastructure including district hospitals. Hospitals have benefited from over £600 million of critical infrastructure risk funding and will soon receive their capital allocations for the financial year, with £2.2 million allocated to St Cross hospital.

I join in paying tribute to Hospital of St. Cross and its team. £2.2 million was allocated to his trust and local hospital as part of the critical infrastructure funding, with further capital allocations expected soon.
