The debate centres around the health disparities faced by black, Asian and minority ethnic individuals during the pandemic.
What assessment has been made of the impact of covid-19 on the health of people in BAME communities? Are efforts being made to understand regional inequalities as well as those within boroughs?
There is ongoing work to understand the occupational risks and co-morbidity related to BAME communities. The Government agrees that more needs to be done to reduce disparity in health outcomes within these groups, and will continue to push forward with efforts on reducing health inequalities at pace.
