Does my right hon. Friend agree that China is more than just a systemic challenge and is an expanding, serious geopolitical threat?
Context
Concerns over China's influence are growing, especially in the south Pacific region.

China has different values from ours with an authoritarian leadership intent on reshaping the international order. We have passed the National Security and Investment Act 2021, used it to block Newport Wafer Fab sale, and ensured China's state-owned nuclear energy corporation is no longer involved in Sizewell C project.

Should UK increase its investments in SMRs as other nations are doing seriously? As Sizewell will not be operational until at least 2031, what is the Government's plan?
Context
UK provides financial support for five firms involved in small modular reactors, while other countries are investing heavily. Sizewell C is not expected to run before 2031.

My hon. Friend makes a good point. The Chancellor recently said we want to proceed with our nuclear programme, including SMRs and advanced reactors alongside Hinckley and Sizewell. £385 million has been allocated for support.

Will my right hon. Friend take steps to ensure that green-belt sites set aside for housing in local council draft plans are removed prior to plan adoption?
Context
Green-belt land set aside for housing in local council draft plans is causing concern.

The national planning policy framework is clear that a local authority should not propose to alter a green-belt boundary unless there are exceptional circumstances and it can show at examination of the local plan that it has explored every other reasonable option. Any proposal to release land from green belt is subject to rigorous examination by the planning inspector, who is independent and who acts on behalf of the Secretary of State.

Main Concerns
['I am concerned about the low uptake of HPV vaccinations among teenage boys and girls in the UK. In 2021-22, only 9.8% of year 8 boys were fully vaccinated, while the figure for girls was 67.3%. This is far below the target of 90% needed to achieve herd immunity. The vaccine has been successful in preventing cervical cancer but needs wider promotion to address head and neck cancers as well.']

['I urge the Government to adopt a vigorous campaign using modern technology, such as constant reminders via mobile phones, to increase HPV vaccination rates among teenagers. Additionally, I call for more targeted messaging on the prevention of death and disfiguration from cancer rather than focusing solely on cervical cancer.']
