Does the Prime Minister agree on addressing child poverty cross-party? Concerned about Conservative opposition to budget actions affecting families.
Context
Child poverty has increased under the previous Government, prompting questions about cross-party efforts to address it.
Keir Starmer
Under the Conservatives, child poverty increased by 700,000. The Budget invests in NHS and schools without raising taxes on working people.
Assessment
Did not confirm cross-party effort on tackling child poverty

The year 6 children at St James primary school are campaigning for bleed control kits. Can you assure me and all my constituents that this Government are doing everything possible to tackle knife crime?
Context
A primary school campaign for bleed control kits was initiated after learning about the dangers of knife crime, raising concerns about government efforts.
Sarah Jones
Absolutely, I welcome the conversation about knife crime but did not provide specific assurances or actions beyond acknowledging efforts.

Will the Chancellor assure that this Government will properly fund councils and health services so more people can live longer healthier lives?
Context
St Helens ranks as the 26th most deprived area nationally, with a focus on early intervention to prevent crisis intervention costs.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Rachel Reeves)
The Prime Minister is committed to early intervention, and later this week, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care will publish a 10-year health plan focusing on young people in deprived communities. The Government are determined to achieve better public health outcomes.

At the start of the new school year, may I wish all teachers, school staff and children in my constituency the very best for the year ahead? Does my hon. Friend agree that, as part of the curriculum review, which I warmly welcome and look forward to, we need an education system and curriculum—particularly in primary schools—with much more focus on learning through play, on oracy, and on multisensory movement and the recording of learning? That would benefit not just children with SEND, but all pupils.
Context
The curriculum review is expected to focus on evidence-based learning methods, including oracy and multisensory movement.
Catherine McKinnell
The curriculum assessment review, led by experts, will focus on the evidence—what we know from here and abroad about how we can best help children of all ages and abilities to learn, and that includes children with special educational needs. I am sure that those conducting the review will want to investigate different approaches to the primary curriculum, including those mentioned by my hon. Friend, but I would not want to pre-empt the review's conclusions and recommendations.

Medal for Wounded Service Personnel
09 December 2025
Responding: Louise Sandher-Jones
Main Concerns
["There is no official recognition for those wounded in the UK's military. Since January 2006, a total of 2,644 personnel have sustained battle injuries while on operation; one such individual being Andy Reid who lost his right leg below the knee, left leg above the knee and right arm above the elbow."]
Specific Asks
['The debate calls for the creation of a brand-new medal for all servicemen and women wounded in combat, separate from emergency service personnel but equally deserving recognition due to the unique nature of military service.']

Important Context
- - Ministers answer questions rather than asking them, so have different activity patterns
- - Activity quantity doesn't measure quality or effectiveness of representation
- - Some MPs focus more on constituency work than parliamentary questions
- - Newly elected MPs will have less parliamentary history
