Opened the debate
I am concerned about the challenge of finding and developing alternative providers to Huawei after its exclusion from the UK's 5G network. The tension between security concerns and rapid technological rollout has led to a difficult decision for the Government, but it presents an opportunity for the UK to step up in specific areas of technology.

About Westminster Hall Debates

Westminster Hall debates are a chance for MPs to raise important issues affecting their constituents and get a response from a government minister. Unlike Prime Minister's Questions, these debates are more in-depth and collaborative. The MP who secured the debate speaks first, other MPs can contribute, and a minister responds with the government's position.
