Opened the debate
I am concerned about the polarisation of trans issues in the United Kingdom, with threats, intimidation, and even violence from both sides of the debate. The petition 'Ensure Trans people are fully protected under any conversion therapy ban' states that trans people need to be included in a ban on conversion therapy, as they are nearly twice as likely to experience harmful and degrading practices compared to others.

About Westminster Hall Debates
Westminster Hall debates are a chance for MPs to raise important issues affecting their constituents and get a response from a government minister. Unlike Prime Minister's Questions, these debates are more in-depth and collaborative. The MP who secured the debate speaks first, other MPs can contribute, and a minister responds with the government's position.
