Opened the debate
I am concerned about the failure of cavity wall insulation schemes in western Britain, where wind-driven rain and high rainfall make such installations unsuitable. Many cases have resulted in damp, mould, and other problems due to poor assessments, installation quality, and maintenance issues. The guarantee scheme has been difficult for victims to navigate, with many installers disappearing or going bust after completing work.

About Westminster Hall Debates

Westminster Hall debates are a chance for MPs to raise important issues affecting their constituents and get a response from a government minister. Unlike Prime Minister's Questions, these debates are more in-depth and collaborative. The MP who secured the debate speaks first, other MPs can contribute, and a minister responds with the government's position.
