The draft Infrastructure Planning (Business or Commercial Projects) (Amendment) Regulations have been laid before Parliament, amending existing regulations to include data centres as projects capable of being directed into the NSIP consenting regime. A new National Policy Statement for data centres will also be prepared by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
