I recently met the chief executive of Meighs & Westleys at its site in Newcastle under Lyme. The company is exporting 5% directly to the US and another 5% via intermediaries. Will my hon. Friend praise the company for its export success so far, and will he work with the Secretary of State for International Trade to encourage further export success?
I absolutely congratulate the company on its successes, both at home and overseas. I work closely with colleagues in the Department for International Trade, particularly in the defence and security exports team, and will introduce the company to that team via my hon. Friend.
