Supporting people into self-employment is a priority. Since 2011, nearly 131,000 new businesses have been created through the New Enterprise Allowance. The Minister will meet Andy Street to discuss economy stimulation on Thursday.

Women were 41% of those taking up the new enterprise allowance recently. The Minister is redesigning how to look at self-employment going forward, and would be happy to meet with him.
