What steps her Department is taking to promote global free trade; specifically, what is she doing to ensure that British farmers can compete on a level playing field with countries having lower environmental or animal welfare standards?
We remain absolutely committed to upholding our high environmental, food safety and animal welfare standards post Brexit. There are huge opportunities for farmers to trade, for example getting lamb into the US market, which currently UK lamb cannot access.
