Context
The trust has faced significant financial challenges, including a £57 million deficit last year which was reduced to half. The income levels at the trust have increased by 22% from 2015-16 to the present.
What assessment has been made of the adequacy of funding for hospitals in the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, particularly considering the financial challenges faced and the need for major infrastructure work at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby?
My hon. Friend Martin Vickers has raised the financial challenges faced by the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, including a £57 million deficit last year which has been halved to meet the financial control total. He also highlighted the critical need for significant infrastructure investment at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, requiring between £150 million to £200 million. I recognise and commit to considering these urgent needs alongside other pressures on the trust.
