Gavin Newlands SNP
Paisley and Renfrewshire North
Context
The UK is home to 32 UNESCO world heritage sites, including six in Scotland. The Minister previously stated the Government's commitment to protecting these sites.
Gavin Newlands criticised the lack of direct condemnation from the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary regarding President Trump's threats. He questioned whether the Government would unequivocally condemn these threats despite their need for a US trade deal.
I think that my previous answer was very clear. The Foreign Secretary made it clear that he expected the conventions on world heritage to be adhered to.
