We want to fast-track major building projects in all parts of the country to fuel economic recovery and create jobs. Project Speed is just one part of that. The Department for Transport has prioritised the Isham bypass for major road network funding. Northamptonshire County Council needs to submit an outline business case later this year, which includes amending the route and seeking fresh planning permission and legal orders. Officials from the Department are in touch with the council to discuss how best to proceed.
