What steps is the CPS taking to improve the prosecution rate for antisemitic hate crime? The CPS does not currently publish figures on hate crime prosecution rates disaggregated by racial and religious bias. Will the Solicitor General join me in urging the CPS to make that data available so that we can judge its performance on antisemitism?
The issue of antisemitism is one of considerable concern. I visited the Community Security Trust in north London last week; their work combating antisemitism with the Jewish community is significant. Proper records should be kept by the CPS regarding these matters, and we are constantly discussing how better to review statistics and keep such issues in public mind.
