What steps has the Department taken to protect prison staff from the covid-19 virus, and what is the plan to continue protecting them as restrictions lift?
We have reduced transmission risks in prisons, provided PPE and testing. As community restrictions ease, we need to cautiously lift prison measures too but minimize staff and prisoner risk by introducing adaptations such as visit modifications.
