What recent assessment has been made of the effect of the covid-19 outbreak on the viability of the coach and bus sector? Many family-run coach companies in my constituency face a year-and-a-half-long winter economically due to the pandemic. They cannot access hospitality, leisure, and tourism funding.

My Department has been regularly contacting representatives of the coach industry. Officials from DCMS engage with the Coach Tourism Association through the Tourism Industry Emergency Response Group. We have provided a £40 million package for home-to-school transport and are in regular conversations with the Treasury.
