Context
The Chancellor has received a letter from Members of Parliament suggesting the implementation of a four-day working week as part of the recovery plan.
What assessment has been made of the potential merits of including a four-day working week in the Government's covid-19 recovery strategy? Will he commit to the Treasury exploring this option and meeting with me and other Members to discuss it?
The Government believe that workers should consider flexible working options directly with their employers. However, I am willing to meet the hon. Gentleman to further discuss this topic.
