What recent progress have the Government made on negotiating the UK's future relationship with the EU? Given that formal negotiations will begin next week, why does the Government believe it is worth risking reputational damage by reneging on commitments set out in the political declaration signed in good faith?
We have honoured the withdrawal agreement, signed protocol and aim to achieve a comprehensive free trade agreement with no tariffs, quotas or quantitative restrictions. The hon. Gentleman's concern about reneging is misconceived as we honour our commitments.
