When does the Minister plan to allocate funding under the £500 million youth investment fund?
The £500 million youth investment fund remains a manifesto commitment and builds on more than £12 billion given this year to local authorities. Detailed plans for the fund are subject to the 7 October spending review, after which I look forward to being able to talk more about those plans.

Context
Scouts have launched Squirrels for four and five-year-olds, but the youth sector is financially struggling. No funding has been allocated from the £500 million youth investment fund.
Will the Minister join me in welcoming the innovation and expansion of Scouts? Can he tell the sector when it can expect money to come forward or whether the Government have raided children's piggy banks?
We all, I am sure, have Scout troops in our constituencies to which we would pay tribute, and the expansion is hugely welcome. Detailed plans for the £500 million youth investment fund are subject to the 7 October spending review.
