Immigrant women fear reporting crimes due to concerns about their immigration status being used as a tool of control by abusers.
What is the Home Office doing to protect women from abuse where immigration status is used as a tool?
No woman should fear coming forward due to their immigration status. We support all victims of violence against women and girls, regardless of their status in this country.

A survivor of sexual violence experienced years of pain and danger to have their abuser imprisoned, only for the Government to let them out early.
Why are prisoners being released after short sentences despite the harm they caused?
Justice was sought through the criminal justice system. The Ministry of Justice is focused on ensuring we do not run out of prison places in this country, which is a crisis I inherited from previous governments.
