What steps are being taken to measure the effectiveness of the (a) community renewal fund and (b) levelling-up fund? I have tabled written parliamentary questions on this, which the Minister is yet to answer. However, I support the levelling-up fund as it is currently the only available funding for my constituency.
There will be further opportunities for local authorities to submit bids into the levelling-up fund through subsequent rounds, with more details about how it operates from next year being published later this year. The hon. Gentleman's local authority, in category 1, is submitting a bid by 18 June and has received £125,000 capacity funding to help build strong relationships.

Jeff Smith is concerned about delays in receiving funding and the completion of projects for towns that have applied. He wants to know which areas are missing out on these funds and the impact of completed projects.
Will the Minister commit to publishing a report on which areas are not receiving funding from the towns fund, levelling-up fund, or community renewal fund, and the impact of any delivered projects? Many towns have waited over two years for confirmation of their bids, with some still awaiting responses.
