The new unitary Buckinghamshire Council has plans for the regeneration of Aylesbury, a town with garden town status. The council already prepared an excellent masterplan.
Will my hon. Friend confirm that funding will still be available from central Government for the imaginative and innovative garden town project in Aylesbury which aims to make it a place people want to live, work, visit and invest in after the coronavirus crisis?
Yes, well planned, well designed, locally led garden communities play a vital role in helping to meet this country's housing need well into the future. The Government have shown support for Aylesbury through a £170 million housing infrastructure fund award at Budget 2020 which should help unlock its full potential.
