There is confusion about social distancing rules and the lack of legislation in England compared to Wales.
Despite guidance being given, what discussions has the Home Secretary had with Cabinet colleagues to introduce similar legislation now as lockdown restrictions are lifted?
The Government has been clear about the need for social distancing. Police regulations empower them to issue fines of up to £100 as a last resort, and from 27 March to 25 May, 15,000 fixed penalty notices have been issued in England; 1,300 in Wales.
