Q1 Clive Efford Lab Eltham
Context

Rail services on Southeastern have been criticized for poor reliability and service quality over a long period.

Question

What recent assessment has the Minister made of the future of the Southeastern rail franchise; and if he will make a statement.

Answer from Chris Heaton-Harris (Minister of State for Transport)

Yes, I would be delighted to meet again to press ahead on this agenda. Obviously business cases and a host of other details need to be worked up with TfL, but I met Heidi Alexander, its deputy chairman, earlier this week and we had a conversation on the matter then.
