What further steps does the Government plan to take to support travel agencies as part of the implementation of the tourism recovery plan? Much of the £25 billion has not reached family-run SMEs like Moorelands Travel and Travel Your World in Kirkaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency, which are at risk of closing.
The Government have provided more than £25 billion in support to tourism sectors over the pandemic. Travel agents are supported with restart grants and extended furlough scheme. The tourism recovery plan aims for domestic tourism recovery by 2022 and international travel by 2023, a year faster than forecasters predict.

Despite £25 billion in government support, many small travel agencies like Moorelands Travel and Travel Your World are struggling to receive adequate funding and face closure. These businesses have kept the lights on for the travel industry.
Unfortunately, due to asymmetry of Government support and recovery plan, much money has not reached travel agents such as Moorelands Travel and Travel Your World in my constituency. Family-run SMEs like these are struggling and could close. This will disrupt holidays and tourism recovery itself. Will the Minister explain why their efforts and businesses no longer matter?
Many elements of tourism sector are devolved matters, but we work co-operatively with Scottish Government on issues. The Scottish Government have developed their recovery plan and we have one for England too. For sectors in England that have not received grants automatically, measures like additional restrictions grant are available.
