The MP highlighted a 23% increase in delayed or cancelled treatments due to infrastructure issues, with maintenance backlog rising by 50%. They questioned when such delays would cease.
Will the Secretary of State tell us by what date we will see no more delays to treatment because of crumbling buildings?
We are putting significant investment into NHS infrastructure, evidenced by improvements in Stoke, Scunthorpe, and elsewhere. We support staff and ensure the NHS has the backing needed to tackle the backlog, which increased because of the pandemic.
