Q2
Partial Answer
▸
Context
The A27 road between Worthing and Shoreham is extremely congested, with some areas resembling a large car park. The previous suggestions by National Highways have been unsuccessful, while Transport for the South East has proposed more innovative solutions including tunnelling options.
What do we need to do to get Transport for the South East's proposals translated into action, after waiting decades for these improvements?
The Department is very aware of the draft report by Transport for the South East, and I thank it for that report. The proposals are being considered carefully and looked at closely by the Department, and I know that the Roads Minister will respond in detail in due course.
