What recent discussions has he had with Cabinet colleagues on reforming the death registration process. For constituents, a swift burial is essential but often delayed due to legal barriers such as unavailability of GPs, bank holidays, or weekends.
I have discussed this issue with the Chief Coroner and I will be meeting representatives of the Jewish and Muslim faiths next week. After those meetings, I would be happy to meet him to discuss how we can move forward.
