Context
The question arises from a need to enhance cross-border rail connectivity highlighted by the Union connectivity review and the Welsh Government's Burns commission.
What steps he is taking to improve cross-border rail services between south Wales and south-west England. Through services have been introduced, but further stations like Magor are needed for better service.
We set aside development funding for projects from Sir Peter Hendy's review last year. We are engaging with Welsh Government and other stakeholders before issuing a formal response, and I am happy to meet the questioner.
