Bradford's grassroots football, cricket and boxing clubs are a vital support network for young people. Yet, despite the volunteers' hard work, many clubs have had to close due to Government cuts and underfunding. I hear her saying that over £1 million has been put into Bradford East, but I have not seen the effects in our grassroots boxing, football, and cricket clubs. Will she commit to ensuring they get the support they need?
The Sports Minister or I would be delighted to visit Bradford East. The Secretary of State believes that £1.16 million is a substantial investment for one constituency and remains committed to supporting grassroots sports.
