The covid disparities report published last year summarises the unprecedented measures taken to promote vaccine uptake, including working with faith leaders and providing over £23 million in funding for the community champion scheme. The Prime Minister has accepted all recommendations from the report.

The question stems from data showing significantly higher vaccine hesitancy among the black British population compared to the white population, with lower booster rates among Caribbean and Pakistani communities.
Behind the boasts of jabs in arms are the Government not as worried as I am that ONS is finding vaccine hesitancy among the black British population over five times higher than among the white population? Among the over-50s, 44% of Caribbeans and 42% of Pakistanis have been boosted, compared to 77% of white British. When are the Government going to admit that their 'Take me to your leader' model is not working?
We have spent £485,000 on the community champions scheme in Ealing Central and Acton to encourage vaccine uptake. The Government has done a lot to promote vaccination in ethnic minority communities. Opposition Members should not scaremonger.
