When will the government publish improved data on families with leave to remain but no recourse to public funds? The Home Office's current lack of data is concerning as it does not know how many people are affected by this status. Ministers and officials have previously stated that a new IT system would provide this information, yet delays continue.
The Home Office currently publishes extensive data on NRPF change of conditions applications, including details on age, gender, and nationality. We are open to obtaining further NRPF-related data through other means; plans for this have been outlined in correspondence with the UK Statistics Authority.

For months, Ministers and officials at the Department have promised a new IT system that will give us detailed information about families with leave to remain but no recourse to public funds. The chair of the UK Statistics Authority stated in February that the new system would be operational this year. When will the Department take control and switch on its new system so it can provide basic data?
We are open to deepening and enriching the level of data available. We have been speaking to stakeholders to see what further steps we might be able to take, and I will keep the right hon. Gentleman informed.
