Context
A constituent contacted the MP before Christmas struggling to keep up with her home energy costs, related mostly to the green deal.
What discussions has the Secretary of State had with his Cabinet colleagues about tailored energy support for Scottish victims of the green deal scam? The hon. Lady's constituent was mis-sold something by Home Energy and Lifestyle Management Ltd.
As the hon. Lady knows, the green deal was designed to ensure that people were able to make their households more energy efficient, but we have always been clear that the repayments should not have been greater than the savings delivered. The question is prompted by concerns about high electricity bills in Scotland, attributed to 13 years of failed Tory and SNP energy policies.
Why are families in Scotland paying some of the highest electricity bills in Europe due to 13 years of failed Tory and SNP energy polices?
