The MP is concerned about the impact of insufficient housing and high net migration on young people's mental health. He also references worries over future NHS capacity with an ageing population.
Whether his Department has made an assessment with Cabinet colleagues of the potential impact of the availability of housing on young people's mental health. The mental health of young people is being impacted by high net migration and insufficient house building, and they are concerned about future NHS capacity for an ageing population. I commend Tony Blair's paper suggesting reforms like co-payments and apps.
We are working with Government Departments to tackle the effect of housing insecurity on young people's mental health. Under this Government, last year the number of first-time buyers passed 400,000, a 19-year high.

The MP is concerned about the NHS's ability to handle an ageing population and suggests considering Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair's reform proposals.
Young people worry that with an ageing population, the health service will not be able to provide for them in future. I commend Tony Blair's paper suggesting co-payments and apps for NHS reforms. Would it not be ironic if a former Labour PM were more radical on NHS than a Conservative Government?
Under this Government, first-time buyer numbers passed 400,000 last year. I will not take lectures from a former Labour Prime Minister who saddled the NHS with £10 billion failed IT and an £80 billion PFI contract.

Today marks the three-year anniversary of Tom Pirie's death by suicide. The MP works with Tom's father on improving suicide risk assessment procedures.
I am working with Tom Pirie's father Philip to improve suicide risk assessment procedure for the upcoming 10-year strategy review. Will you join me in paying tribute to Tom and his father, and provide an update on when we can expect the review?
I absolutely pay tribute to Tom and Philip. We received the baton of hope at No. 10 last week from campaigners reducing suicides. We are working on the suicide prevention plan and aim to publish it soon.
