Context
The MP noted NHS figures showing a record high of nearly 600,000 women waiting for gynaecological treatment, with numbers tripling since 2012.
NHS figures from December show that the number of women waiting for gynaecological treatment reached another record high of nearly 600,000. That number has tripled since 2012. What can the Minister say to the women waiting urgently for treatment?
We are sticking to our plan to back the NHS to cut waiting lists, prioritising fairer, simpler, and faster services. When there is no strike action, that plan is working. We have seen significant reductions in waiting lists outside of the pandemic period.
