The UK has a strong track record in green technology investments. However, the questioner is concerned about competition from other countries and suggests specific measures to maintain leadership.
Given that the UK has a remarkable track record of winning investment in green technology but other countries are now proceeding with their plans, does my hon. Friend agree that effective policies for speeding up planning consents for energy projects, expanding grid capacity at a faster rate, and fixing contracts for difference regime will demonstrate to investors once again that this is the best place to invest?
The right hon. Friend's points are correct; we have a proud record, launched Giga project and CfD allocation round 6, which is leading in enticing investors. We can go faster and further where possible.

The Department has shown support for hydrogen blending in gas pipes, but the questioner wants to know about support for home appliance providers who want to create hydrogen-ready technology.
Given that there is no more important technology than hydrogen in green industries, I was pleased to note the Department's advocacy of hydrogen blending. What support is given to home appliance providers creating hydrogen-ready technology?
My hon. Friend champions the hydrogen industry, and I am happy to meet him to discuss how we can progress further and speed up investment in hydrogen, which is key to securing ambitious projects.

The questioner and her colleague co-chaired an all-party group on green deal mis-selling, and after nearly a decade, justice is still awaited. Most affected constituents were over 70 when it happened.
Along with my hon. Friend the Member for Paisley and Renfrewshire North (Gavin Newlands), I co-chaired the all-party parliamentary group on green deal mis-selling. After nearly 10 years, we are still waiting for justice for our constituents who were told to invest in green technologies but suffered losses. Why not find a political solution?
I agree that what happened was dreadful and an ongoing legal process is under way, so I am restricted in what I can say. However, I should be happy to meet her in the coming days to discuss specifics involving her constituents who were affected.

The south-west is proud of its contribution to green technology, with a £4 billion gigafactory planned near Bridgwater creating 4,000 new jobs. Investment in infrastructure is needed.
The south-west is proud to be punching above its weight in green technology, and will soon welcome a £4 billion gigafactory which will create many jobs. What steps is the Department planning to facilitate such ventures?
It is fantastic that a gigafactory is planned for the south-west; as a result of Giga and other projects, we expect many more developments. However, work remains to be done: where possible, we can go further and faster.
