Alongside publishing the new VAWG strategy, the Government have launched a behaviour change campaign and rolled out domestic abuse protection orders. We are embedding specialists in police control rooms under Raneem's law, strengthening tools for police and courts to protect victims. A national policing centre with £13.1 million funding has been established, and Richard Wright KC is leading a review of stalking legislation.

The Government are strengthening early intervention measures, improving police responses, and ensuring protection and support for victims facing domestic or post-separation abuse. VAWG considerations are being integrated into transport guidance and national design standards to ensure public spaces are safer by design.

We are rolling out domestic abuse protection orders, placing stronger prohibitions and requirements on perpetrators such as electronic monitoring. A breach of this order is a criminal offence, aimed at inconveniencing the perpetrator to protect victims and ensure safety.

The hon. Lady's constituent's experience is not unfamiliar to any MP dealing with the Child Maintenance Agency. The Government have included child maintenance in the VAWG strategy, ensuring abuse through this system can no longer happen and are open to meetings with MPs to address such issues.

The VAWG strategy includes over £1 billion investment, with £550 million allocated specifically for victim services. The Minister assures that as a victim of stalking herself, the issue is taken seriously and measures are being implemented based on recommendations from super-complaints.

The Government are focused on ensuring abuse and violence against any individual in the country is addressed regardless of origin. Reliable data collection on this issue is limited, but under this government, we will start collecting such data to better address concerns raised.
