Does the Minister agree that a focus on integrating NATO's missile defence is key to strengthening European security?
Context
The question follows the Secretary of State's agreement at NATO Ministers of Defence meeting to step up co-operation with allies on missile defence and cutting-edge long-range missiles.

Yes, I do. Defence against air and missile threats has played a key role in our recent thinking, and with our NATO-first approach to policy, putting integration with our allies at the heart of our defence plans makes sense and is a vital part of ensuring our security going forward.

What steps are being taken with NATO counterparts to increase co-operation on missile defence?
Context
The question is prompted by ongoing discussions and agreements among NATO members regarding enhancing co-operative efforts in missile defence.

The Government is working on delivering for defence, making Britain secure at home and strong abroad. The UK remains a leading voice in NATO on missile defence, which we see as a cross-Government and international effort. We are enhancing our missile defence capabilities and modernising our approach to air and missile defence, both for our own forces and with our NATO allies.

I welcome the entire ministerial team to their places. The UK has the chance to become a world leader in bringing new technologies into the heart of Government. The concept of a mission-led Government provides a unique opportunity to do exactly that. What steps is my right hon. Friend taking to ensure that digital technologies are used to support the Government's missions, to deliver for my constituents in Northampton North and across the country?
Context
The UK has an opportunity to lead globally in integrating new technologies into government operations, which can significantly improve service delivery and citizen experience.

My hon. Friend is right about the UK's potential to lead globally in this area. We are creating a strong digital centre of Government with the DSIT Secretary at the helm, working closely with the Cabinet Office and Treasury to secure value for money and improve citizen experience.
