A Hartlepudlian was murdered by an asylum seeker. People are afraid and angry. My office is besieged by asylum seekers weekly. My staff are intimidated. Most are illegal migrants who should be expelled. The families affected deserve action. Will the Prime Minister take action, ensure enforcement, and expel those with no right to be here?

The Government is doing everything possible to tackle illegal migration, removing those with no right to be here. We have excellent relationships for returning people to many countries and will continue using every avenue at our disposal.

Does the Prime Minister agree that when the Leader of the Opposition spins his myth of a low tax Labour party, he clearly needs a memory jog? May I remind Labour Members that in 2019 they all stood on a manifesto that would have inflicted the highest tax burden on the people of this country in peacetime—

Yes, Labour campaigned to put up taxes on business to the highest level this country has ever seen; that was the Leader of the Opposition's ambition, and that is what they would do again. Be in no doubt, that is what they love to do—we can feel the lust for tax rising off those Opposition Benches—and that is why there has never been a Labour Government who left office with unemployment lower than when they came in.

The disappearance of Katrice Lee occurred on 28 November 1981, during her second birthday celebration. Her family continues to search and the upcoming anniversary will be particularly painful. Will the Prime Minister meet Mr Lee to reassure him that his daughter's case has not been forgotten?

I have heard from constituents who feel that they may have been forgotten. Under the Conservatives, the number of pensioners living in absolute poverty has been slashed by 200,000 across the country, and we have protected the triple lock, but could my right hon. Friend please remind me of all the steps that his Department is taking to support Hartlepool's pensioners?

In response to constituents feeling forgotten due to the spring Budget, concerns were raised about support for local pensioners.

The independent Resolution Foundation said that, because of measures that this Government have taken, pensioners are £1,000 better off in real terms than in 2010. We did two things specifically in the Budget: we put £6 billion into the NHS, which is used more by pensioners than anyone else; and we backed workers' tax cuts to support growth in the economy, which means that we can continue to fund the triple lock for many years to come.

Will my right hon. Friend share the steps that he is taking alongside Hartlepool Borough Council to ensure that those children who are not attending school receive a fair and decent education?
Context
In Hartlepool, home-schooling numbers have increased to 186 from around 50 in four years. Many children are not turning up at school.

Local authorities have duties towards those children to ensure that all are receiving a suitable education and act if not. The consultation we held on revised guidance to help fulfil that responsibility recently closed, and we will publish the response in due course. We remain committed to legislation, as my right hon. Friend the Member for Chelmsford (Vicky Ford) said, to create statutory registers of children not in school in order to help local authorities identify those eligible children.

Off-road bikes are a growing plague across Hartlepool, and my constituents face the danger of young men in balaclavas driving recklessly along our streets. Will my right hon. Friend commit to increasing the support for Cleveland police to tackle this nuisance, beyond the anonymous tip-off system? Will he also perhaps come to visit some of the excellent Conservative MPs in our region?

I would be delighted to do that, and I support her call. To achieve precisely the objectives my hon. Friend describes, from April next year—in just a few months—every police force in the country will receive substantial funding commitments to conduct antisocial behaviour hotspot patrols, including against the scourge of off-road biking that she mentions.

My hon. Friend makes a strong point. While some of those coming here have genuine grounds, many are economic migrants making spurious claims. We have reduced grant rates for Albanians from 53% to 19%, and we added India and Georgia to the list of safe states.

Does my right hon. Friend agree that we need to seize the unique opportunity in Hartlepool by commissioning an advanced modular reactor for our soon-to-be decommissioned site, to secure jobs and skills and to make Teesside a world-leading area for green energy?

First, I am very pleased that the Hartlepool nuclear power station has had its lifetime extended to 2026. Secondly, my hon. Friend is absolutely right to be enthusiastic about advanced nuclear reactors and technologies, some of which have a little way to go yet, but they get full support from this Government, and we will support those coming into use when time allows.

Hartlepool supports the sanctions imposed on Putin's regime, and there is a post-Brexit windfall refund of £200 million from the European research fund for coal and steel.

My hon. Friend is an active campaigner for the steel sector in her constituency. I can assure her that energy-intensive industries such as steel receive substantial support from the Government, including free allowances from the emissions trading scheme and the £315 million industrial energy transformation fund.

A young constituent of mine, Chris, has had to have part of his skull removed following a stroke. Although he is prone to falling, his brain has been largely unprotected for nearly two years. This is because his surgeon feels that the necessary surgery is primarily cosmetic. Several other of my constituents have been refused surgery on those grounds, despite procedures being available elsewhere. What steps is my right hon. Friend taking to level up such health disparities and make health inequality a thing of the past?

First, I am sorry to hear about my hon. Friend's constituent Chris and wish him all the very best. She will know that clinical commissioning groups are responsible for commissioning local healthcare services. If the aim of a cosmetic procedure is health rated, such as the need to repair or reconstruct missing or damaged tissue or skin that might come through illness, birth defect or accident, it will be commissioned and seen to by commissioners. She refers to a particular case. If she would like to provide me with more details, I would be happy to take a look.
