What recent discussions has she had with Cabinet colleagues on the proposed prohibition of the use of non-disclosure agreements by employers in cases of harassment and discrimination?
Context
Discussion on the proposed prohibition of employers using NDAs to prevent workers from speaking out about workplace harassment or discrimination.
The Minister for Equalities (Seema Malhotra)
I thank my right hon. Friend for her work both in this area and with Zelda Perkins, who has rightly been recognised in the new year honours list. I am proud that our Employment Rights Act 2025 introduces a new measure that will void any provision in an agreement between a worker and their employer that prevents a worker from speaking out about harassment or discrimination in the workplace. My right hon. Friend will be aware that implementation of this measure is subject to consultation. We have engaged closely with the Department for Business and Trade on this policy and continue to do so.

What work are the Government doing with the Lebanese Government and in particular the Lebanese armed forces to shore up our crucial ally in the region?
Context
Despite a ceasefire being in place for almost a year, Israeli forces struck UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon over the weekend.
Falconer
Lebanon is a crucial ally. I will travel there shortly and intend to go to the area affected. It is vital that Lebanon’s borders, in both the east and the south, are secure. That is vital for their security, as well as for ours.

Earlier this year, 15-year-old Harvey Willgoose was murdered when attending school. His murderer has now been convicted and a national child safeguarding review panel set up, but recommendations are often not implemented. Will the Home Secretary ensure that these recommendations are followed and prevent further such tragedies?
Context
Harvey Willgoose, a 15-year-old student in Sheffield Heeley, was murdered by another pupil. A national child safeguarding review panel has been established to address such tragedies.
Sarah Jones
We offer our sympathy to the family of Harvey, whose death is a heartbreaking tragedy that has devastated the entire community. Our thoughts remain with his family and friends. Of course we recognise that pattern—I have seen it, too, in my constituency. That is why we are creating a child protection authority, as was recommended in a previous inquiry, to provide effective national oversight to ensure that lessons are learned.

In 2019, Boris Johnson commissioned the Shawcross report on Libyan-sponsored IRA terrorism. United States citizens have received compensation from the Libyan Government for attacks on British soil, but UK citizens never have. Will the Secretary of State work with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to ensure that the report is published?
Context
The Shawcross report was commissioned to investigate Libyan sponsorship of the IRA. There are concerns about compensation for UK citizens who were victims.
The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (Hilary Benn)
The whole House will have profound sympathy for all the victims of Gaddafi-sponsored IRA terrorism, and all the victims of the troubles. The Shawcross report was commissioned by the last Government as an internal report, and decisions on the report and its future are currently under review by the FCDO.

Non-disclosure Agreements
02 April 2025
Responding: Justin Madders
Main Concerns
['Last month I tabled an amendment to the Employment Rights Bill that would end the misuse of NDAs in cases of harassment, discrimination and abuse. A recent survey found that 100% of NDAs in the hospitality sector are written too broadly. This issue affects low-income workers, disabled people, and people of colour. Since the debate last month, I have received numerous details of such cases involving sexual assault, blacklisting, and mental health discrimination.']
Specific Asks
['The Government should ban the use of NDAs in these cases unless at the specific request of the victim. This is a serious problem in every type of workplace in this country and employers simply cannot be trusted with this tool.']

Important Context
- - Ministers answer questions rather than asking them, so have different activity patterns
- - Activity quantity doesn't measure quality or effectiveness of representation
- - Some MPs focus more on constituency work than parliamentary questions
- - Newly elected MPs will have less parliamentary history
