The UK Space Strategy has been published and laid before Parliament, focusing on a One Government approach to space. It aims to deliver priority outcomes in defence, national security, and economic growth, backed by £7.8 billion of funding. The strategy builds upon the Government’s Modern Industrial Strategy’s approach to reindustrialising the UK, aiming to deliver good growth in every postcode. It aligns activity across government to provide a coherent and prioritised portfolio for delivery into the 2030s. The strategy will enable the UK to become a more competitive and agile space power, better able to innovate and shape outcomes in a rapidly evolving domain. The strategy includes clear commitments to prioritise investment in capabilities where the UK can generate the greatest benefit across defence, national security, and growth.
