In his speech, Mr. Eustice paid tribute to the work done by the Environment Agency, local authorities, emergency services, and voluntary groups during recent flooding incidents. He mentioned that more than 1,000 staff from the Environment Agency were deployed across the country every day to manage flood barriers, clear debris, and assist with evacuations. Additionally, he discussed concerns over coal tips stability in Wales and highlighted ongoing assessments by the national Coal Authority.
