Opened the debate
This motion proposes to amend the Terrorism Act 2000 by proscribing The Base, a predominantly US-based militant white supremacist group that seeks to radicalise and train individuals for potentially violent activities. The Home Secretary has concluded that The Base is concerned in terrorism based on evidence from the joint terrorism analysis centre. Proscription will aid counter-terrorism policing efforts and serve as a deterrent against extreme right-wing terrorist groups.

Government Response

Government Response
Acknowledged the concerns raised by Stephanie Peacock about the Order of Nine Angles. Stated that due to operational security reasons, no comments can be made on specific organisations. Offered to pass on her request for a meeting with Baroness Williams of Trafford.
