The Bill aims to amend the functions of VAPCs to enable them to play a more active role in supporting veterans. It seeks to improve coordination, accountability, and responsiveness to feedback from veterans by moving VAPC powers into the Armed Forces Act 2006, broadening their scope of responsibilities, and expanding the cohort of veterans eligible for support from VAPCs.
